Goals
We believe that our STUDENTS are excited
learners with diverse abilities and styles who take pride in their
work and share a family-style connection with the school.
- Therefore, within a caring
environment our students will enhance their knowledge, expand
their worlds, improve their self-esteem, and foster a love of
learning, a sense of responsibility, and respect for each
other.
We believe that Edgecomb is a COMMUNITY
which maintains its small town atmosphere through a core group of
dedicated townspeople. The lack of a central organizational structure
has make identification and connection to resources within the town
difficult.
- Therefore, the Edgecomb staff will
sustain a school climate which fosters community
involvement.
We believe the PARENTS of our students are
largely supportive of the school regardless of their level of
involvement. We recognize that they lead busy lives and that there
has been an increase in non-traditional families.
- Therefore, the Edgecomb staff will
encourage parent participation and support at any level of
involvement.
We believe that our STAFF is a supportive,
enthusiastic, creative, and flexible team of dedicated learners who
care deeply for the students.

educators we will participate in decision-making, professional
development and collegial support in setting a school climate
conducive to positive student performance.
We believe that the CURRICULUM at Edgecomb
School is challenging, fluid, and is responsive to student needs. It
allows for high expectations of students. (You can do it!)

we will continue to monitor the curriculum in order to reflect the
ever-changing world and prepare our students for their future
responsibilities.
